Monday, November 13, 2023

The A. B. Won Pat International Airport Authority, Guam (GIAA) will be conducting its Triennial Full-Scale Disaster Exercise, with the full involvement of associated agencies on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. The public is advised to anticipate unusually high activity and movement of equipment (police vehicles, firefighting trucks, ambulances, federal vehicles, etc.) and personnel responding to a simulated aircraft emergency on and in the vicinity of the Airport in the morning hours of Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

The Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Federal Aviation Regulation Part 139 requires that GIAA conduct a full-scale disaster exercise on Airport property every three years to test the Airport’s Emergency Plan.

This is only an exercise and will not affect the normal operations of the airport facility or any regularly scheduled flight activity.
